President Donald Trump Signed Gold $100 Bill

Picture
Did you know? The 45th and current president of the United States, Donald John Trump, does not smoke or drink. This is a result of the painful experience of watching his brother, Freddy Trump Jr., struggle with alcoholism and finally die of complications associated with his addiction in 1981 at the young age of 42. “Fred was a fantastic guy, a handsome person. He was the life of the party, but he got stuck on alcohol”, said President Trump about his beloved older brother.

*More than 15 million people struggle with an alcohol use disorder in the United States, but less than 8% of those receive treatment of any kind.

Mahatma Gandhi Signed Photo

Picture
Did you know? Mahatma Gandhi, known throughout India as the "father of the nation," was a powerful voice for peace during a very volatile time in India’s history. His famous hunger strikes and message of nonviolence helped to unite the country and ultimately led to India’s independence from the British on August 15, 1947.

Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, is one of only three national holidays in India. His birthday is commemorated with a prayer for peace and with the singing of his favorite song, Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram. Sadly, Gandhi was assassinated in 1948, shortly after independence was achieved and while India was plagued with bloodshed over new boundaries between religious groups.

Albert Einstein Signed Photo

Picture
Did you know? The rumor that has been circulating for many years; that Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein ‘hooked up’ at sometime during their illustrious careers, can finally be debunked. It is highly unlikely that the sexy starlet and German-born theoretical physicist even met.

Here is how the rumor most likely got started. It seems that Marilyn and actress Shelly Winters shared an apartment from 1947 to 1951. According to an excerpt from Shelly Winter’s 1980 book:  “One day Marilyn and I had the idea to create a wish list of the famous men that Marilyn would sleep with if given the opportunity. Marilyn wrote Albert Einstein’s name on the list. According to Shelly, she advised Marilyn: “There is no way you can sleep with Albert Einstein. He is the most famous scientist of the century and he is an old man.” Marilyn then replied, “That has nothing to do with it. I hear he is very healthy.”

This evidence, combined with the fact that when Einstein died in 1955 at the age of 76 Marilyn was only 29 years old, should allow us to put the Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein rumor to bed, as they say.

Harry Houdini Signed Photo

Picture
Did you know? Harry Houdini is, without any question, the most famous magician and escape artist who ever lived. A very successful entrepreneur who brilliantly did what he did best, worked hard at it and capitalized on his unusual talents and strengths. Harry produced and starred in two films, “The Man From Beyond” and Haldane of the Secret Service”, but both movies bombed and Harry abandoned the movie business in 1923!

Che Guevara Signed Photo

Picture
Did you know? Ernesto Rafael ‘Che’ Guevara de la Serna was a legendary Argentinian revolutionary who, along with Fidel Castro, was instrumental in the overthrow of the President of Cuba, Fulgencio Batista, in December of 1959. Although Che loudly and famously denounced capitalism, he actually and quite surprisingly sported a luxury watch! Che was insistent on keeping his Rolex GMT Master on his wrist at all times! He was often seen wearing his favorite watch in myriad press photos.

Steve Jobs Signed Apple Computer Manual

Picture
Did you know? Legend has it that while in the sixth grade at Crittenden Middle School in Mountain View, California, Steve Jobs was relentlessly bullied for “being odd”. Steve gave his parents an ultimatum - either his family moved or he would drop out of school! The family yielded to his threats and ended up relocating to Los Altos, California (the eventual birthplace of Apple Computers). Later, Steve would meet engineer Bill Fernandez who in turn introduced him to Apple’s cofounder Steve Wozniak.

Vintage Phillips 66 Oil 6’ Porcelain Sign

Picture
Did you know? The familiar Phillips 66 shield was created to subtly mimic the famous U.S. Route 66 sign logo. The Phillip’s design, introduced in a black and orange color scheme, would be in use for nearly 30 years! A new red, black and white version was introduced in 1959 and is still in use.

For thirty years, from the late 1930s until the 1960s, Phillip’s “highway hostesses” (registered nurses hired by the company) made regular and unannounced visits to Phillips 66 stations to inspect the station’s restroom facilities to ensure that they were ‘sparkling clean’ and well stocked. This group of fastidious and tidy ladies, who also assisted Phillip’s customers by suggesting suitable local dining and lodging facilities, were actually called the “Sparkle Corps”!

Louis Armstrong Signed Photo

Picture
Did you know? Trumpet aficionado and charismatic jazz legend Louis Armstrong acquired his various unusual childhood nicknames as a result of his big, wide smile that became known and adored the world over. “Dippermouth”, “Gatemouth” and “Satchelmouth”, later shortened accidentally to “Satchmo”, were all names that Louis answered to while growing up in New Orleans. Actually, Louie, as the French say it, was a nickname as well. He himself pronounced his first name the American way - Louis. Sadly, Louis passed away in 1971 in the Queens, New York City home that he and his wife Lucille owned for nearly thirty years. His home is now a museum honoring the great entertainer.
