Original Jimi Hendrix Experience Concert Poster Handbill

Picture
Did you know? James Marshall Hendrix, known to the world as legendary rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix, died in London on September 18, 1970 at the much too young age of 27 years. He is described by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as “arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music”. Something not many of of his fans know is that the left-handed guitarist’s bandmates affectionately referred to him as “The Bat”. Turns out, the nickname had nothing to do with hanging upside down or with Bruce Wayne’s high-tech Batcave. Jimi developed the compulsive habit of darkening or entirely blocking out all sunlight and only sleeping during the day!
