Vintage Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver "Hampton" Flatware Set

Picture
Did you know? Tiffany & Company (Tiffany or Tiffany’s) was originally founded as a “stationery and fancy goods emporium”. Established in 1837 by Charles Tiffany and John B. Young and known as “Tiffany, Young and Ellis”, the store offered customers a wide variety of stationery items. Only in 1853, after Charles Tiffany gained control and shortened the name to Tiffany & Company, did the firm shift its focus to jewelry. Tiffany’s now operates hundreds of stores in major cities all over the world. The Tiffany & Company flagship store remains in operation in Manhattan, New York City.

*Tiffany and Company’s Hampton pattern is named after Hampton Court, the country palace of England’s King Henry VIII. Eight-piece flatware set in sterling silver includes one dinner fork, one salad fork, one dinner knife, one dessert spoon and one teaspoon.
